Local Philanthropy and Service

In 2018, Tri Delta's Gamma Xi chapter decided to affiliate with the Greenville Children's Hospital, local organization to allow members to volunteer within the Greenville community together. Along with fundraising efforts for St. Jude, we treasure the opportunities to support children's hospitals.

Prisma, which was previously know as the Greenville Health Care Systems hospital for childhood cancer, is anchored in providing the most effective and targeted cancer care. The hospital is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those with cancer in the Greenville community and beyond through clinical excellence and research. Additionally, the health care staff focuses on treating the whole person, not just the disease, which is a unique factor of Prisma! As the Gamma Xi chapter, our role in supporting Prisma includes volunteering on Fridays, book and toy drives for the children, scheduling tours of the hospital so each member can develop a greater appreciation for our local philanthropy, creating cards to deliver, and making pillows or blankets for the children! Each child at the Prisma hospital is guaranteed a book and pillow, which is one important reason we donate and raise money for the hospital. Furthermore, not only does this benefit our community, but it allows us to grow as individuals and as a chapter.
